Former Red Raven Football Player and Lettermen Hall of Fame inductee J.D. Akard passed away on Sunday September 5th in Manhattan Kansas. Funeral Services for Mr. Akard will be at 11 a.m. Saturday September 11th at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville Kansas.

Five of Coffeyville Community College's past nineteen head football coaches were in attendance at the 2008 Hall of Fame Banquet. These 5 coaches represent 40 years of Red Raven Football, accumulating a total of 320 wins over that time.
